Mohs hardness is the #1 factor in mill selection. Soft-to-medium (Mohs ≤ 3) use Raymond/YGM/TGM. Medium-hard (3–5) use MTW European. Abrasive / top-cut 5μm use HYM Ultra-Fine. Send material sample to CFTC lab for locked-cycle mill test if Mohs ≥ 5.5.

The industry workhorse for 90% of medium-fineness powder. Central shaft drives a "plum blossom frame" holding 3–6 rollers; centrifugal force presses rollers against the grinding ring; air sweeps through, lifts finished particles to the top classifier (oversize falls back). An evolution of the standard Raymond mill. Each roller is pushed against the ring by a heavy-duty pre-loaded spring pack (800–1200 kgf additional force). The result: higher specific energy input, higher capacity on same motor, and ability to push fineness one grade higher (YGM can reach 400+ mesh stably where a standard Raymond tops out at 325). Recommended for bentonite, fly ash, dolomite and medium-fineness GCC lines.

TGM uses a trapezoidal roller + trapezoidal ring (vs. rectangular in Raymond). Key benefit: the contact face angle creates a "self-pressurizing" wedge effect — grinding pressure increases as the roller wears, so capacity and fineness stay stable for 2x longer between roller/ring replacements. 4/5/6 roller configurations (TGM100/130/160) make this our go-to for medium Mohs 3.5–5.5 materials: dolomite, feldspar, quartz (with chrome alloy roller), fly ash.

The MTW series is the trapezoid concept executed to European mechanical standards — bevel gear integral transmission (no V-belt energy loss), curved-surface shovel blade with replaceable wear tip, and internal worm-gear classifier blade adjustment accessible from outside the machine (no need to open lid, no hot shutdown). HYM is CFTC's most specialized mill — for 600 mesh (23 μm) to 2500 mesh (5 μm D97) ultra-fine grade. Design philosophy is completely different from Raymond: 12–44 small-diameter ring rollers (instead of 4–6 big ones) rotating at high speed on the inside of a single large ring. The large number of contact points generates high-energy multi-pass grinding; a dedicated secondary external classifier + baghouse closes the loop. HYM168 with 44 roller pieces can output 25 t/h at 1250 mesh — a capacity no competitor's single Raymond / ball mill + classifier combo can touch for the same installed power.

Ring-roller high-speed ultra-fine grinding mill. Each roller swings on a pin; centrifugal acceleration presses it against the ring. Multiple roller contacts per revolution deliver extremely high energy per pass, while the short retention time avoids over-grinding. The external dynamic classifier (frequency-controlled turbine) locks D97 to tight tolerances — a specification that Raymond can only achieve with large bypass cyclone systems. HYM ships as a skid-mounted module with classifier, fan and baghouse controls wired — 3-day field install.

Raw material transport pair. Bucket elevator lifts 0–25 mm crushed ore vertically up to 10–25 m into the top feed hopper. D97 = 97% of particles (by volume) pass that size — this is the standard engineering guarantee language, not "average size". CFTC contract guarantee: when you lock in a target D97 at PO, we guarantee ±2 μm top-cut (T3) or ±5 μm (T1/T2) after commissioning. We run a locked-cycle test at the factory (FAT) on your representative material sample before shipment — so there are zero surprises on-site.
Standard Mn13 wear parts (Raymond/YGM/TGM): 3,000–5,000 hours on Mohs ≤3 materials (limestone, calcite, gypsum, talc). Replacement cost 4–7% of mill price per set. Mandatory in EU / UK / UAE / Saudi / many African mining codes when: (a) powder Kst ≥ 100 bar·m/s (all organic powders — coal, sulfur, starch, sugar, wood flour, most food-grade fillers), (b) particle D50 ≤ 63 μm and dust cloud can form (any enclosed conveyor / classifier / baghouse), or (c) insurance / bank / ESG audit requirements. CFTC standard ATEX package includes: (1) explosion relief vent panels on baghouse top (vent area calculated per EN 14491 for your Kst/Pmax); (2) spark detector + fast-acting CO2 extinguishing in feed inlet and outlet ducts (<30 ms response); (3) fast-acting isolation flap valve between classifier and baghouse to stop deflagration propagation; (4) intrinsically-safe level sensors and motor ATEX-rated terminal boxes. For coal, sulfur and titanium dioxide we always recommend the full ATEX package — the €25–60k price is trivial vs. a full-plant dust explosion. Non-explosive materials (limestone GCC, dolomite, barite, most inorganic non-carbon) can skip ATEX but still need standard baghouse negative-pressure operation, which CFTC always includes.
